The final installment of ANPF-2015 winning playwright Meridith Friedman’s powerful and touching trilogy about the Hoffman family. Friedman brings her saga to a poignant conclusion in this new play, which she will be developing with ANPF, during intense workshopping the week before the performance, along with director Kyle Haden, cast, and a dramaturg.
The reading will star Kate Berry, Cameron Davis, Eileen DeSandre, Paul Michael Garcia, Aurelia Grierson, Rex Young, and Román Zaragoza.
I Can Go finds Richard and David on the eve of their wedding weekend, fretting over succulent plant arrangements and seating lists. As their families descend to witness the impending nuptials, a secret hangs over the festivities that will drastically alter the trajectory of the couple’s future. The story is a tender look at how we find the good in goodbye.
