Ten-Minute Plays Festival

Annually we receive nearly 300 script submissions for this exciting weekend of ten-minute plays. Over the years, we have produced the event in conjunction with the Southern Oregon University drama department, providing an additional opportunity for students to participate with professional and experienced actors in a major showcase.

AWE will cull through about 300 short scripts (8-12 pages) as we look for the winning submissions that will be produced at the festival in early September.

"Beginning in 2008, we will produce this festival as a benefit for a deserving local non-profit group. AWE will use theatre to highlight the mission and theme of its selected beneficiary. For 2008, we've selected Friends of the Animal Shelter and thus we're gathering plays that touch on human-animal interactions." The event will be held in early September and feature a collection of short plays, music, and other entertainment.
